| Description | This quest requires two players to complete.
1) Speak with Reldo in the Varrock Castle Library. 2) Find and read the book that Reldo is referring to in the Library. 3) Speak with Reldo again. 4) Speak with Baraek in the Varrock Marketplace. He will require a 20 coin bribe to give you information on the gangs. 5) Speak with Tramp in the alley south of the sword shop in Varrock. Tell him that you want to join the Black Arm Gang or Phoenix Gang. You should do this with two players, having one join each gang. The Black Arm Gang 6) Speak to Katrine at the Black Arm headquarters in Varrock. She asks you for some Phoenix Crossbows, which your teammate will get for you. 7) Katrine wants 2 Phoenix Crossbows. The easy way to get this is to have someone else do the Phoenix side quest to get them and give to you. When she gets the Crossbows she makes you a member of the gang. 8) Go upstairs and search for a Broken Shield on the cupboard. As can be done in other situations if you drop it and pick up another quickly. You do this so that you have two copies of the Black Arm half of the shield. 9) (none on this side) 10) (none on this side) The Phoenix Gang 6) Speak with Straven down the ladder from Baraek in Varrock. 7) Kill Johnny the Beard in the Blue Moon Inn of Varrock and loot his Scroll. 8) Give the Scroll to Straven who will give you a Key. 9) Now head into the hideout and use the key on the chest in the southwestern room. This will contain a Broken Shield. Grab it, drop it on the ground, and then take a second one. So you have two copies of the Phoenix half of the Broken Shield. 10) Leave the hideout and walk around to the front of the building, opening the east door with your Key. Go up the ladder and kill the Weapon Master, and then loot the two Phoenix Crossbows. You give these to your partner on the Black Gang side. Both Sides 11) Trade your halves of the Broken Shield so that you each have both halves. Take these to the Museum Curate in Varrock wh owill give you two certificates. 12) Give the certificates to King Roald in Varrock for your reward. |
