| Description | 1) This quest begins in Mort'ton. To reach Mort'ton you can head south in the Mort Myre Swamp. When you see the Mort'ton sign head south-southeast until you come to a house with a broken table. Search the shelves here and you will find a Diary and 3 herbs. Identify the herbs and you will find two Tarromin and a Rogues Purse. You will need the Tarromin later.
2) Read the Diary. 3) Use the Tarromins with a Vial of Waters to make Tarromin Filled Vials. 4) Chop down three trees and start two fires using the logs and a tinderbox. Save the third log. Once the fires die collect the Ashes and use them on the Tarromin Filled Vial to create Serum 208. Make two of them. 5) Use Serum 208 on Razmire Keelgan in the General Store in Mort'ton. 6) Go out and slay 5 Shades and loot their remains. 7) Return to Razmire and use another dose of Serum 208 on him. Then give him a corpse of the shade. 8) Speak to Ulsquire Shauncy in one of the houses in Mort'ton. Use the Serum 208 on him and then show him a corpse. 9) Use a potion on Razmire again and speak to him. Buy a Hammer, 10 Swamp Paste, 5 Planks, 5 Limestone Bricks, 5 Limestone, and an Olive Oil at the shops in Mort'ton. 10) Head northeast of the store to the temple. Click on the wall to start repairing it. You need it at 10% sanctity and 100% repairs. Shades will spawn and attack the temple, so group members need to be ready to take them down. 11) Use a tinderbox on the flame in the center of the temple to light it. Then use Olive Oil on teh flame. This will create Sacred Oil. 12) Keep the repairs going untilt he sanctity is up to 20%. Then use your Serum 208 on the flame. This will create a Permanent Cure: Serum 208(p). 13) Use the Sacred Oil with the Log you have left over from chopping trees earlier. This will make a Pyre Log. 14) Kill another Loar Shade at the temple and loot its remains. 15) Head to any of the Holy Altars around the edges of Mort'ton. Use the Pyre Log on the Altar. Then use the Loar Remains on the altar. Light these with your Tinderbox and a Key will spawn. Grab it. It unlocks the door in the temple north of the General Store. It isn't used ni this quest, but can be handy later. 16) Take the Key back to Ulsquire Shauncy, using another dose of the Serum 208 on him to complete the quest. OPTIONAL) The key allows entrance to the temple and the higher level shades. Once you complete the quest you can speak to the Apothecary in Varrock to receive additional Crafting or Herblore exp. |
