Item needed: any sword, the best armor you can find, sense of direction

Before starting your training please know that this is a guide for normal players not pures.

Second you must understand what each of the combat skills will help with:

Attack – the higher attack the more hits you will deal.
Strength – the higher the strength the higher you will hit.
Defence – the higher the defence the less you will be dealt.
Hit points – the higher the hit points the more life you have.

Levels 1-10

If you have a good sword, great! If not, follow these instructions to find an iron dagger (better than nothing).

1 – If you are somewhere you don’t recognize open up the mage book (the top right book on the screen) and click on the first spell you see that’s different from all other (it is blue with an “h” in the middle of it) and just wait a couple seconds.

2 – After you pop up in the new place (Lumbridge) walk straight west to exit the castle. (If you need to get something out of the bank, walk inside the castle by walking west; after you get inside, go ether north or south past the doors and then go west till you find a ladder, then just go up two times you should see the bank.) After exiting the castle you will see the world get a little bigger; walk a little bit north east and you will find a bridge cross it. Once on the other side you should see a bunch of green looking creatures (goblins); follow the path you are on a little bit north and you will see a little house to the west. Go inside.

3 – On the south east side corner of the house you should see a crate. Right north of that crate, you will find the iron dagger. Pick it up and wield it (left click it); after wielding it, go on the attack style menu (two swords on the top left side of your panel). You will see 4 small squares with the words:

Stab – click it if you want to train your attack
Lunge – click it if you want to train your strength
Slash – click it if you want to train your strength
Block – click it if you want to train your defence

Well, after figuring out what you want to train, click on it. The square you click on will become red.

Ok, now on with the guide. There are a couple of things I want to tell you before we start training.

First of all my methods of training might be different from what most people have, and if you think they are not even worth trying, then simply don’t try.

From level 1-10 there can be a couple of methods of training. For example:

If you have food, I would recommend killing goblins to level 10 of what ever style you prefer. You need to kill 58 goblins in order to get level 10. Remember where your bank is in case you need some food, and if you don’t have food, I recommend bringing only 3 items or just the iron dagger because then you don’t have to worry about dying. If you die, you will pop up in Lumbridge, so just walk back to the spot you were training in.

I suggest killing the goblins right behind the Lumbridge castle. Simply walk east until you exit the castle then just follow the northern wall until you see the goblins.

Kill 58 of them and you will get 10 of what ever style you are training for, and you will also get hit points levels. If you kill 58 of them you will only grow 1 hit point level; if you get 2 of the styles to 10, you will get to level 13 hit points; and if you get all 3 styles to level 10, you will get 14 hit points.

Here is a combat level table:

Styles

Attack
Strength
Defence
Hit points levels

10
10
10
14 Combat level

12

Checking your combat level as you go along is very easy. Just like before, go into the fighting style panel and you will see the place where it says “combat level” and also the weapon you are wielding.

Ok, now to move on…

If you are a member it is pretty much the same at the beginning because there isn’t much more to do at those levels.

Levels 10-20

After getting your first couple of levels, you should get the handle on how to train. However, remember that you are still low level and should not get ahead of yourself. Well, I am going to start hurrying up and telling you the best ways to level and how many kills.

What to bring – I say bring full iron armor because it is cheap and just in case anything happens you wont lose much. Also, bring maybe 1 to 5 bites of food of any kind, although you won’t really need it.

From levels 10 to 20 you need 3316 XP – might not seem like much since you get 4 XP every 1 hit, but trust me, at low levels it gets really hard. My opinion would be to go kill monks at the monastery (prayer guild); if you know where it is, head there right now. If you don’t know, then I have a guide for getting there, too.

1 – Do exactly what you did to get the iron dagger. Start off by teleporting to Lumbridge Castle by using the home teleport.

2 – Walk east to exit the castle. Once outside you will see a path on the floor heading either south or north. Follow the north path all the way until you see it curve towards the west, then follow it west all the way. You will see it split to the north but don’t worry about it, just keep following the west path. Here you will come to a 4 way split.

Take the north path. Once you get past the fences to either side of you, go straight east until you come up to a place with about 5 rocks and a house.

From here, go straight up north all the way until you see a river running alongside of you and a fence.

From here, head northwest. You will come to the center of a village (Barbarian Village).

After getting here, head straight west until you get out of the village, which shouldn’t be to far.

3 – Follow all the way northwest and you will see a building. Go up to the center of it and here you are in the monastery! Hopefully you can find a world without too many people in it because this is a popular spot.

Well, what to do now that you’ve arrived? First off, find a spot with a monk and try to get comfortable with where he responds after each kill. If you don’t have food and you are getting owned just run away before you die and go up to another monk that is not being attacked and ask him to heal you. This is one of the main reasons why this is such a great place to train.

Now I could tell you how many you need to kill from levels 10-20, but the truth is it’s really hard to say because the monks heal themselves, causing you to get more XP than normal from each kill. So, I just say stay here and get as many levels as you want. It is really fast once you get to about 15 on attack, strength, and they stop hitting really often at about 20 defence.

Levels 20-40

This is were training gets a little tough; if you are a non-member you will need 32,754 XP to gain the 20 levels, and you also don’t have many options to train for non- members.

What to bring – I say bring the same as always, full iron (if you can afford better, then hey. go right ahead and bring the best you can wear). Now for the weapon, I think you should bring the best kind of weapon you can wield. If you have 20 attack, then bring mithril scimitar as this is a fast and strong weapon.

By now you should be a little better with directions. If not, then follow me lol. We are going to go kill hillgiants; these are great for training and have awesome drops. Now, there is a catch – the only way to get inside the dungeon where they are located is with a brass key.

These keys have a respawn point inside the Edgeville dungeon but it is a far walk, so our best bet would be to just buy one from a player at Varrock west bank. Buy it for no more than 1k, and when you are ready to go start at varrock west bank and get all you need out of it. I would say bring food with you since the giants hit hard although not very often.

I would recommend not banking too often since this is, after all, a power leveling method and it would take long. However, for every drop pick up the coins, and bones as well. Bury the bones for some good old prayer XP (read the prayer guide), and pick up the iron armor the giants drop and sell it at the general stores in Varrock.

It will take 234 kills to level 40 of any style and the best way to keep track of this is with your prayer level. After killing 235 giants, you will be at level 18 prayer; that is, if you just started getting prayer up. If not, then just follow it by the XP.

Levels 40-60

Now you should be at low to mid-level prayer. The best monster to kill here would be either to stick with hill giants or move on to bigger XP; again, this is hard to do in non-members because you don’t have many options.

What to bring – bring the best armor possible; I would say rune armor would be the best. The going rate is at 170k-200k and it is worth it since it is the best non-member armor. Also, get yourself a rune scimitar; these go for 25k-30k.

If you stick with hill giants then just own like you always have. By level 50 of each style, you won’t anymore need food. For this time of training you will need to set recovery questions. This is very easy to do, just go to RuneScape’s home page and scroll down to account management and click on “Set new recovery questions.”

After setting your recovery question, you must get to the Barbarian Village. If you know were it is already, get there, and if you don’t, just follow the way to getting to the monks but stay at the village.

After you get there, go to the center of the village and you will see a dungeon.

Go inside you will be in a room and a little south of you there is a skeleton. Search it and you will find a book. Just drop it and then you will see a door a little southwest of the skeleton. Go through it and it will say some stuff now. After you go through the first door there will be another right in front of you; click on it and it will ask a random question. Answer it right to get past it. If it does not, don’t worry about it and just go to the door east of that.

Some doors will ask stuff, some won’t; the questions are easy and are about common knowledge of RuneScape. After you get past the east door, there are two more of them. Go past them and go past the two north doors.

You will then see a chain; don’t climb it or you will be taken out of the dungeon. There will be doors to the east; go past those and head northeast and go through those doors. Follow the path and you will come to some more doors. Get past those and you will come to the center; you will see a chest or “gift of peace”. Open it and you get an emote.

Afterwards go to the ladder west of there and you will go to the second level. Go to the west and open the two doors, then go to the doors to the west and you will come to a place with flesh crawlers (level 28) and zombies. I suggest you camp out right here for a long time getting your levels up – this is a great spot to train in, especially if you have good armor; you don’t really need much food here.

For members

If you are a member you should really try to do the Horror From the Deep quest; it’s a little tough but way worth it for power training.

I really suggest to stop training your combat and instead go get the requirements for this quest because it will make your life a lot easier…

If you don’t do the quests then just follow the non-members guide; if you do, then follow my guide for this.

After doing the quest get a hold of about 500 lobsters. Yes, 500! Either fish them or buy them, then get yourself a good set of armor (like rune) and the best weapon you can wield. Note all the lobsters you have at Camelot bank and go to the light house where you fought the dagganoths in the quest. Fight them and pick up their drops, as you will need them to stay here long. Kill as many as you can when you need food, then go up the ladder again and once more the guy in the second floor will buy all the drops you get from fighting. Sell them to him unless they are really good drops (like ranarr seeds which sell for 25k+ to players). Get enough money here and sell him about 15 lobsters; they will become unnoted. Then, buy them back. Keep doing this for a long time as this is the best way to get your levels up for members, in my opinion.

Levels 60-99

For Non-Members

Here is where things get really hard, because in non-members there isn’t really any spot to get high levels…but well, there are always the lesser demons in Karamja. To get there you need 30gp, and I suggest getting your fishing to 40 and your cooking to 40. Also bring a tinder box, a lobster cage, and a bronze axe, so if you are low on food you don’t have to walk all the way to the bank but just fish lobsters on the island. Here’s how it is set up.

So, you arrive and you have food. Great! Go straight in the dungeon; if not, go fish lobsters, and after you get an inventory full go chop a tree (can’t chop banana trees) and light a fire and cook the lobsters. I suggest doing this a lot because you will burn some lobsters at low cooking levels.

When you are ready to fight, go into the dungeon. Fight here until the desired level; it’s going to take long but it’s the best way for non-members.

Now for members, it’s all different as you have a lot of places to train. After 40 combat you can get into Pest Control – this is a great mini game for XP and I suggest you camp out here for a very long time. Here is a mini guide for members…

For Members

You guys get dragon weapons, but for this, you must first do Lost City. It is an easy quest in my opinion, as I did it at about 40-50 combat and I’ve seen level 30s do it.

After doing the quest I suggest getting a dragon long sword and a dragon dagger. Better if it’s poisoned.

You will need 60 attack to wield these weapons, and trust me, it is so worth the training as they both have special attacks.

Long sword – the sword hits harder for 1 hit
Dragon dagger – has a 2 hit combo and the special can be used 4 times per bar

The dragon dagger is very efficient and is kind of cheap, only costing about 50k if it is super poisoned (which will hit 6 damage every now and then on your opponent). I recommend looking for a lot of quests that give XP to combat skills because this will save you a bunch of training time.

Now the mini-game Pest Control is very helpful and it can earn you a little bit of money along the way. Here’s a small guide on it:

Arrive at the Pest Control island by going to Port Sarim and talking to the Void Knight. He will take you to their outpost where you will get started. This mini game is based on teams, so the first thing you need is a good world. I suggest World 140 which is the official Pest Control world. Go to the first boat you see and enter it. Wait a little bit and the game will start.

You will be taken to an island. The best thing for you to do is attack everything you see; you must get at least 50 hits in order to get tickets, so that’s your first priority. After the 50 hits you can either get more to help with your XP or just chill and wait. After each game you will get 2-4 tickets depending what boat you are on.

Levels 40-69 – novice boat – 2 tickets per win
Levels 70-99 – intermediate boat – 3 tickets per win
Levels 100-126 – experience boat – 4 tickets per win

After gathering many tickets as you can, trade them in for XP. I suggest you gather 100 tickets before trading them in because you get 10% extra XP, so just play until you get 100 or 200 and turn them in 100 at a time. To turn them in go to the Void Knights and trade them the points. Well, there it is – the guide to the Pest Control mini game.

Now I know this mini-game gets very boring after a while, and I don’t suggest you do this until level 99 of each skill because it would take forever. Just remember that it will take a long time no matter what, so I suggest having some fun while training, like killing the Kalphite Queen (but don’t even dream of doing this until you reach around 90+ combat!). She is a mean bug and could kill you in just 2 or 3 hits. Still, I will tell you the best way to defeat her.

Items needed – full veracs (costs about 3.6m), a lot of sharks, a lot of strength potions and may-b attack potions, ropes, and shanty passes.

Skills needed – 60+ prayer would be great, 90+ combat, and a partner

First off, it is very hard to kill her if you don’t have full veracs and I will explain why.

Veracs is an armor that can hit through any prayer and because the queen prays you will need to hit through it. Find yourself a partner that is level 100+ and try your best. I will not post a full guide on her because there are a lot of places to find the best guides.

You should not think that because she is high level you will get 99 on any combat skill fast. I just posted this because I know training non-stop will make you want to rip your hair off, so don’t.

Slayer – Slayer is a very useful skill and it’s awesome because it helps you train 3 skills at a time. Yes, 3 skills…I mean slayer, hit points, and what ever fighting style you are training.

To start slayer you must speak to Vannaka; he is located in the Edgeville dungeon.

Talk to him and he will explain some things and give you a task along with an enchanted gem. This will be the way to communicate for most people. The first task is hill giants (about 100+), so go to the dungeon next to Varrock and start slaying away. After you are done with the task, you can head back to Vannaka and get a new task. If you think the tasks are to hard, go to Turael; he is located in a small house south of Burthorpe. He gives really easy tasks and is the only one that can change your tasks.

*Note* you don’t get slayer XP from each task but by the monster you kill.

Magic!

This is the magic mini guide. I will go into some details on magic but not all the way.

First off, magic is a very useful skill; as you advance, you always have something new to do.

Starting out:

Magic is very easy to do; just buy like 1k mind runes behind Varrock east bank. Wield an air staff and stand at the mining pit at Alkharaid where the scorpions are, and stand outside of the mine and just attack them. This will get you good magic and hopefully enable you to each 17-20 magic. This way, you can do air bolts; these are better to rain with but more expensive.

If you have enough money, go buy about 1500 chaos runes at the same place you bought the minds runes, and go stand at the lesser demons at Karamja (read the guide for getting there). There are about 3 spots where you can stand and not get attacked. They are easy to find, just look at people using them and kill them. Use up the chaos runes and you will have about 30 something magic. From here, you can just keep doing this with higher level attacks. If you are a non-member this is the best thing to do…

If you have enough time but not enough money, the best thing is to get your level to 19 by using the mind runes technique and buying a bunch of body runes, a bunch of waters and a bunch of earths. This is what you should get:

10k – bodys
Wield earth staff
20k – water

Or you can make it smaller number, it’s up to you. Go to the Wizard’s Tower, and on the third floor there is a lesser demon on a cage. Now the best thing to do is get a full set of rune armor, put on some leather vambraces (green works better but you need 40 range), and an iron kite shield, then head to the tower. The point of this is so you don’t have to wait 30 seconds before having to cast the spell again. This is a time-consuming process because you have to click over and over again but it works good and it’s better than having to make a lot of money for runes.

If you are a member, the best way is to work your way to 45 magic, then either run law runes or buy them. You will need about 1.8k law runes to get to 55 magic, and from there on you will make it all back so find a way to get 1.8k law runes. Wield an air staff and just teleport to Camelot a lot of times. When you get level 55 magic, you will have one of the best spells, that is, high alchemy. This spell turns items into gold, but the runes needed are expensive so don’t go around using it on anything you see. Here’s the best way:

Get level 70 fletching by cutting willow logs into long bows. Buy the logs at around 20gp each then sell the long bows (u) to the general stores for 16gp each. I know you lose some money, but oh well, you will make it back fast. After getting 70 fletching, buy yew logs at around 340gp each (no more than 350gp each). Also, buy flax at 100gp each (you will need level 10 crafting to make bowstrings) and buy nature runes at about 280gp each (no more than 300gp each).

Cut the logs into long bows (u) and spin the flax into bow strings, then string the long bows (u) into yew longbows, then put on a fire staff and high alchemy the bows. Here’s a mathematical breakdown of it all:

1k yew logs – around 345k
1k flax – 100k
1k nature runes – about 290k

That’s 735k in total

Each yew long bow alchs for 768gp.

You end up with 768k which means you made 33k profit, plus a good amount of magic XP. After a while of doing this and getting 85 fletching, you will be able to move on to magic long bows. Do the same; only difference is that these alch for 1536gp. Bad thing about it is that the logs are harder to find and cost about 1.1k each. You might want to stick to yews if you are just looking for magic XP. I suggest doing this all the way to 99 magic as the profit is the best and the XP is super fast. It does get boring, so I suggest going farming while alching.

Mini-Games

Magic has a very good mini/training game, and also a range guild to buy mystic armor and runes. The mystic armor is good for using while in combat, and there are more varieties of runes at the guild shop. The guild is located in Yanille and you will need 66 magic to get in, but you can also have level 63 and drink a wizard mind bomb which raises your magic level by 3 for a period of time, and you can get in this way.

Another great mini game to do with magic is my favorite Barrows. This mini-game is really great to make money and have fun while doing it. I suggest getting 55 slayer and 50 magic because then you can use slayer dart; this is the best way to beat Barrows. Also, I suggest getting about 65 prayer; this way you won’t waste too much money on prayer potions (you must pray if you want to survive). I am not going to get detailed into this mini game because there are some great guides out there and it is a lot easer to understand them.

The mage training arena is another good mini-game but takes up a lot of time and runes. However, most of the time you make back any money you lose by selling the armor you get from the mini-game. The arena is located behind the dueling arena in Alkharaid.

The mage arena is a great mini-sub quest that is held deep in the wilderness. This is the quest that gets you the god spells like Saradomin Strike, Flames of Zammorak, and Claws of Guthix. These spells hit very high by themselves but even higher when you charge them up; the bad thing is you need blood runes to be able cast them, and as we know blood runes are not cheap. But this is a very good way to go player killing.

Breakdown of magic – good skill to go player killing, has best money making ways in game, and it’s very fun.

Range

Oh yes range…what can I say about this combat skill…it’s hard to train but very well worth the time. Here’s a little to know about range..

Range is a great skill to have a high level on. It attacks fast, it’s cheap, and it hits from far away. With range, you might be fighting something and it can’t hit you back, just like a mage, only it is cheaper and it does not take too much to get the levels you want. I might not be the highest player out there but I know a thing or two about range.

First of all, range is pretty much the same for every level. Just start out with some bronze arrows and a bow, and just range things from behind an obstruction. Best place to do this would be at Edgeville, right before you enter the wilderness. Just before you jump over the ditch, you should see some skeletons walking around on the other side. Just range them and jump over the ditch to get your arrows.

If you are a member, I suggest you do Hero’s Quest and just stay in the bottom of the guild and kill blue dragons over and over. This will be good XP and a lot of money! Keep all the dragon bones and hides; if you get a clue, do it right away as the bank is just to the north of the Hero’s Guild. In the building with a beer on it (a bar) behind the counter, you will see a dungeon door. Enter it; down here is the rogues’ den, and there is a guy walking around that has a “bank” option. Just bank all the hides and bones here and head back to the guild.

In most worlds, someone will be in there so bring about 1k mind runes and an air staff. After each kill pop on the staff and click on your mage book and use the air strike as soon as the dragon pops up. Attack him as fast as you can because if not you will have to right-click the dragon and go down to “attack”. By this time, other people would have taken it, so as soon as you attack it pop on your bow and that’s it, just range him until death.

Range does not have a lot of extra features but it does have a guild that you need 40 range to get in. Nothing too special in here; I suggest reading up any metal dragon guides because these dragons are worth it. For this, you will need some money and good range, so remember to train, train, train.

P.S. The combat skills will not be described here.

If you want to find your way to the skill as fast as possible, press Ctrl + F and type in what you are looking for.

To start off we are going to talk about prayer.

PRAYER

This is a very useful skill that at high levels will benefit you in many ways. For example: the protect from attack prayers will help you protect from ether missiles, magic, or melee attacks while fighting. Also, there are boost prayers that will help your defense, attack, and strength. To access the prayer list, go to the “prayer” icon located on the top right next to the magic book.

After clicking on this icon you will see a new screen. Here you can click on any prayer as long as you have the level requirement. For example: to use protect from melee, you need level 43 prayer. If you don’t have 43 prayer then the protect from melee prayer will be turned off (or not highlighted). The highest level prayer requires level 70 prayer to use and because of this you might think “Well, why get any higher then 70?” Well, this is where you find out.

The higher your prayer level is, the longer your prayer will last while it is activated. For example: if you protect from magic and your prayer level is 60, your prayer will slowly drop down until it hits 0, then it will turn off and you will have to either pray at an altar or drink a prayer restore potion.

So it is always better to try and get your level as high as possible.

To start off prayer, you do not need to do anything special; just walk around and bury every bone you see. Here is a list of XP each bone gives you:

Normal bones – 4.5 XP
Big bones – 15
Baby dragon bones – 30 (members only)
Dragon bones – 72 (members only)
(There are more bones but these are the most common to use.)

If you don’t have much money and/or don’t want to spend it, I suggest killing your own monsters and gathering your own bones because this way you will get combat experience while training, plus the chance of a valuable drop.

Normal bones – kill goblins behind the Lumbridge castle and bury all the bones as you kill.
Big bones – kill hill giants to the north west of Varrock in the Edgeville dungeon and bury the bones as you kill them
Baby dragon bones – in the Taverley dungeon there are baby blue dragons, bury the bones as you kill them (dusty key needed to enter)

Dragon bones – okay the guide is mostly going to center around these because simply this is the fastest and easiest way to get the prayer XP in the game. To get dragon bones you need to kill green dragons, blue dragons, red dragons, black dragons, or any other type of dragon.

I suggest you stick with green and blue dragons just because they are the easiest to find; green are located in level 23-26 wilderness right behind the grave yard to the north of Varrock and also in level 13-18 wilderness north of Edgeville. I suggest you kill these at Edgeville because if any player killers come at you, you can just teleport.

Blue dragons are located right next to the baby blue dragons in the Taverley dungeon and in the hero’s guild (hero’s quest needed to enter). I suggest to kill them at hero’s guild just because the bank in the rogues den is located just north of the guild and is a fast access. Bad thing is, there is only one dragon and I am not the only person who knows about it. So I suggest you bring mind runes and air runes and 1 click attack them; there are mage and range spots so remember to use them.

Red dragons – I don’t suggest you kill these; there are no good spots near the bank
Black dragons – same as red

Or best of all, just buy the bones! This will save you a lot of time but you will be losing money. Whether you killed monsters or you bought them, I suggest you don’t bury the bones ever! The way to power praying XP in my opinion is to use a gilded altar at a player-owned house.

I suggest getting your construction to a high level so that you can move your house to Yanille (see construction guide). This way you have fast access to a bank and it becomes a lot faster.

Just find someone that has a gilded altar with 2 incest burners in the “event” forums and just run to the bank. Get your bones and run back to the player’s house; enter it and use the bones on the altar.

That’s it for prayer! Now comes rune crafting.

RUNE CRAFT

Very useful skill mostly when done with magic, but in power leveling you just want to hurry and get fast XP, that is why rune craft is kind of hard. The fastest way to get XP is by making fire runes, yes, fire runes. Start off by making the best runes you can make, like airs then body’s then minds and so on. When you can make fire runes, buy as many normal essence (not pure) as you can and get a bunch of dueling rings.

Start at the duel arena with a fire tiara and enter the altar to the north east. Craft the runes and teleport to castle wars with the dueling ring bank there. Take out all the essence you can carry and teleport back to the duel arena and repeat. That’s the best way I have found to get my XP in rune crafting. Also, another good way is when you get 92 rune crafting; you can now have many 2x nature runes per essence so buy a lot of pure essence and go into a world were they are running nature runes and stand in the altar. Trade someone 26 pure essence and 52 nature runes for their 26 rune essence. This isn’t a great way since you lose money but it’s very fast XP.

CONSTRUCTION

This skill is money consuming and no good way to make too much out of it but it is worth having the level 99 because come on your own house…

The best way I see it is to get your level high enough to make oak larders (not ladders; I mean the thing in the kitchen that needs 8 oak planks). Buy the planks ready-made and hire a butler. I suggest the demon because it carries 26 items at a time and it is very fast. Just carry about 500k with you to pay him right now and when he asks. Also bring a saw, and 24 oak planks make a larder, destroy it and make it again and again. Repeat this over and over, and after the 24 planks are gone ask your butler to bring you 24 more just keep doing this and you will get very fast XP.

Construction is an awesome skill to have 99 and have all the furniture and all the rooms in your house very nice, since you can host a lot of parties and stuff. I mean there is no real way to make money out of this skill but it is a great skill to get recognition for….

AGILITY

This skill in my opinion is fun but very time consuming. Just start off by going to the gnome training arena and stay here for a long time until you reach level 35 agility, then do the bar crawl and enter the barbarian outpost arena. Stay here until level 52 agility; after that just go to the wilderness agility training arena.

I suggest bringing food and a dds and just stay here until 75 agility, then do monkey madness and stay at the agility arena there until 99. Running around so much is very annoying but they have worlds where people meet up to have some fun and race each other around the course. Also, it is very useful to buy a bunch of super energy potions and just take a full inventory with you. While running, if your energy gets low just drink up some pots.

HERBLORE

Another very useful skill, but this one is kind of hard to figure out how to power level since the only good ways not to lose millions are to either get your own herbs or your own seconds.

I just suggest to buy as many ranarrs as possible and as many snap grass as possible and make prayer potions until level 99. Yes, this will take a lot of money but it’s the best way in my opinion. Remember, you must do druids ritual in order to start off Herblore. Yhe quest will give you the XP needed to get to level 3, then from there on, make normal attack potions. This is easy because Guam leaves are very easy to find and now that they have updated all the shops to where they have unlimited amounts of vials of water and of eyes of newt, the process becomes that much faster.

Then when your level starts getting higher and higher, you get to make better potions and they will become better for your XP. I recommend getting your Herblore to level 63 and buy snap dragons for cheap and also buying water filled vials (at Shiloh village) then you can either buy red spider eggs or get them yourself. Simply buy about 10 glory amulets then run to Edgeville dungeon and go to the wilderness gates and follow it all the way straight up. There will be 6 eggs, get them and wait for them to respawn. It only takes a little while to gather all 28, then teleport to Edgeville with the glory amulet bank and start over. This is a great way to get XP. Then at level 81, I suggest you do Saradomin brews all the way to 99; toadflax are easy to buy and the only thing that costs a lot is the crushed bird nests as they are around 2k each, but this is very fast to 99.

THIEVING

Okay, this one takes a lot to explain. To start off, pickpocket “men” at Lumbridge until level 5, then head to Ardougne and steal from the bakers stall until reaching level 20, then do silk until level 35. Afterwards, do fur until level 40 then guards until level 60, then comes my favorite mini game for thieving – pyramid plunder mini game. Do this until level 99…and there’s my mini guide.

Alright, you're going to want to bring the best food you can afford (and be sensible I wouldn't recommend wasting money on sharks) and bring 4 super anti-poisons (4) per inventory. That's right, you get attacked in there. You do not need armor though. There is a nearby prayer altar so if you get attacked (which isn't all that often) just put on pro from melee.

Now, say you're level 91…You obviously (as far as I know) do not have time to go through every single room. I usually start on the 7th floor and search all urns, then move to 8th floor and search all urns. 8/10 times you can finish if you're focused.

Sarcophagi and Golden Chests:

The sarcophagus gives you a Pharaoh’s scepter…sometimes…actually very rarely. I don't usually do it because it's hard to get and you get no XP, but then again you could make 1 mil any give time you raid it. Both of those will send scarabs and mummies after you if you fail, so beware! Golden Chests on the contrary also give you Pharaoh’s Scepters and XP, so these are worth it!

Another good mini game to do for this is Sorcerer’s Garden, but it takes kind of long and doesn’t have great rewards. I will give you a short guide on this one too.

I will tell you how you get past the elementals in the summer garden (level 65 required to enter). Here’s a step by step guide:

1) The elemental walks around a hallway with three spots to hide. After getting inside, wait a little bit before you enter the hallway until the elemental turns around and then run for one of the three hiding spots on the opposite side of the hallway. Most players try to get in the middle spot because it takes less time. The third option is possible when running and waiting a bit after the elemental has turned back. During this time, put run on and when the elemental turns around just rush past him. You can also just walk past him, but I don’t suggest this mostly because why walk when you can just run and get past it! Running is a lot faster and will take less time to get to the center of the maze, and that equals faster XP.

2) Now, getting past the second one is not really that hard; simply stand next to the wall that’s to the west and just wait until the the elemental is heading south and gets to the point where you are standing. Then, simply run past him to the next spot; make sure to have run on the whole entire time. This guide is being written as if you have run on and if you are walking you might find some difficulty getting around the maze by following the steps I’m listing here. If your energy is low, simply stand around and wait, or just drink an energy restore potion. Read on to find how to get past the third elemental.

3) The third elemental is walking north to south and there will only be one spot to hide – behind the wall shaped like an “L” us the best place. Just stand at the bottom part of the “L” until you are ready to head over to the fourth elemental.

4) This next guy is very easy as he walks around doing figure eights. There are two walls in the middle that are shaped like this – the best spot to hide is in the middle of the two walls as for some reason he won’t find you here.

5) The next elemental is guarding the herb patch; he is walking around in an L-shape kind of figure. Just wait right next to the herb patch, then, when he comes back, simply click inside the herb patch and you will run up to it and pick the herbs. From the safe zone next to the plants the idea is to reach the square between two corridors. This is a safe spot for both elementals that operate in that area. It can be easily reached by starting when the elemental walks past in the opposite direction. A faster method is to head immediately to this last safe spot in run mode, catching up with the elemental and sneaking past while it is turning. This is a tricky maneuver.

6) The last elemental has a fairly long circular route. Starting in run or walk mode when it passes the safe spot gives plenty of time to get to the central tree area without being seen. However, I still recommend running because it simply saves time and there is less a chance of being caught.

Another way to get it up is by thieving Ardougne knights with the gloves of silence. This is a good way since the gloves were updated; now, you will be stunned a lot less and will get about 3k XP a minute. Most people do this from level 55 to around level 99.

CRAFTING

The best way to do crafting is to buy as many tanned leather as possible and just craft them all into the highest piece of armor. You can start with the green dragon hide armor then blue until you can do black. Just do this until whatever level you want. However, a lot of people also suggest doing just cow hides all the way because they are cheaper and easier to find, but remember that this is a power leveling guide and power leveling means the fastest way to a certain level goal, so I say stick with dragon hide. At level 40 you can enter the crafters guild that is located south west of Falador; you must be wielding a brown apron to do so. The guild is very nice has a lot of gold rocks you can mine from, as well as clay and silver, and they sell stuff on the top floor.

FLETCHING

This is the best skill to make money with and it is very easy to do. Start off by cutting normal logs and fletching them into arrow shafts until you hit level 10, then fletch them into long bows (u) until level 25, then go cut oaks until you hit level 40, then buy a bunch of willow logs and cut them into (u) long bows until reaching level 70 fletch. Afterwards, buy yew logs at around 330-350gp each (no more than 350) and buy either flax (if you want crafting XP) or bow strings at 190-200gp. Then, either make the flax into bow string or just start cutting the logs into (u) long bows then string them into yew longbows then go on the fletching forums and sell them at 600-620gp each long bow.

This is a very good way to make money and the fastest way to level it well until level 85 fletch where you can do magic longbows. However, I don’t really suggest doing magic longs because the logs are hard to find and you will spend more time buying logs than fletching them, so just stick to yew long bows if you are just looking for max XP.

HUNTER

This skill can make you some money on your way to 99. Start off by buying a bird snare at any hunter store and heading to Feldip hunter area. Stand by the shore line and catch birds until level 23 hunter, then head to the Piscatoris hunter area. Bring with you a hatchet, a knife, and like 5 logs (can be obtained there), then just set up dead fall traps and catching wild kebbits until level 53 hunter. Then, buy 2 box traps and stay at the same area as before and set up 1 dead fall trap and 2 box traps and catch normal chinchompas and wild kebbits until you reach level 63.

After you reach level 63, buy 2 more box traps and head back to the Feldip hunter area. Set up all 4 box traps and catch red chinchompas until level 99; this is going to take long but it is worth it because each red chompa is worth about 700-800 gp each! You need to catch 47,796 red chompas from level 63 to level 99; if you sell them at 700gp each (cheapest) you make around 33mil! Keep in mind that this is not something you can do in about 1 or 2 weeks. This will take quite some time and in my opinion it is very well worth the level 99 recognition you get from it.

MINING

The best way to power mine in RuneScape is by iron. Yes, I mean the level 15 ore iron. Just start off by mining copper ore and dropping it until level 15, then from there on just mine iron by Ardougne mines and drop it if you just want fast levels, or if you want money go bank it. After you reach level 60 mining go to the Miners guild that is located just south of the east bank of Falador and mine coal there until level 99. Either bank it or drop it just like iron. When you get 85 mining and you want to make money, I suggest mining some rune ore as they sell for about 12k each. However, don’t do this all the way to 99 because it will take years.

SMITHING

For smithing, the best way I could find is to do the dwarfs cannon and get your smithing up high enough to make cannon balls. Then, buy the coal at around 200gp each and iron at around 100gp each. This will make you, let’s say, 4k cannon balls; you need 2k coal and 1k iron, and that’s 500k in all and will get you 1k steel bars. Each bar makes 4 cannon balls, so you will end up with 4k cannon balls which sell for around 200gp each – that’s 800k! You will make 300k profit with this method. This is kind of slow, but it’s the best way to 99 in my opinion and most profitable. Also, another great way would be to simply buy iron and 2x the coal and just make steel plates and high Alch them; I doubt you will get much money and you might just end up losing some but it is fast and easy.

FISHING

In my opinion, Best way for fishing would be to buy a bunch of feathers and a fly fishing rod and simply catch trout and salmon. This is because at high levels the XP goes very fast. The best way to do this will be to do the Shiloh village quest because right next to the bank there is a river and has a fly fishing spot, so it’s close to the bank, and this way it will help you out with 99 cooking later on. This isn’t great if you are trying to make some cash because no one buys salmon and trout unless you go into non-member worlds and sell them to pures, but this will take a long time and will take away from your skill training time.

If you want, you can go fish some lobsters but I don’t suggest doing so until you get to around level 80+, because it will take very long at low levels to just get one inventory. Also, a great way of getting XP is fishing monk fish; this is super fast XP but requires the quest Swan Song to be completed in order to fish here (great place and really close to bank). I never ever suggest fishing sharks because it is super slow; good thing about them is the cooking XP if you are ever planning on it…

COOKING

This was my first ever skill to 99 and I was proud of it, but after a period of time I learned that there was no reason to really be proud because it could be obtained in about 3 weeks by almost anyone.

Start off by cooking low-level food and stick with the highest you can cook until level 40 cooking. When you get 40, start with lobsters; it doesn’t take many to get to level 55 so I suggest you fish them yourself if you can. Once at 55, simply buy them raw and cook them then sell them; you will lose some money but try and keep the raw and the cooked at around the same price so you won’t lose much. Remember to do the Family Crest quest and getting yourself a pair of cooking gauntlets; this will give you the ability to burn less lobsters and sharks at level 72 cooking.

You won’t be burning any more lobsters so I suggest to do lobsters until level 92 then you won’t burn any sharks. Buy sharks at around 950gp if you get the chance, or 1k each and just cook them then go to the player-killing worlds and at the Edgeville bank sell the sharks for 1k each. You might even make some profit if you are good at it.

The best place to cook is in Rogues Den which is located to the north of the hero’s guild in Taverley. It is in a bar (beer icon on top); go in the dungeon door and there will be a never-ending fire with a guy usually pretty close to the fire (sometimes one step away) where you can bank in. Just camp out here for a long time.

FIREMAKING

This one is kind of simple. First, get your level high enough to where you can burn willows; it is only level 30 so I don’t suggest you buy any logs just yet because it goes by fast. Trust me, just woodcut and burn, woodcut and burn, just that easy. When you get to level 30, simply buy willow logs and burn them; this is tricky because your character moves to the west after each burning and sometimes gets stuck in a place where it can’t light a fire, and it gets very annoying because you are going to have to move over and light on the other side and start again. But the best places I have found would be Draynor, dual arena, or Varrock east bank. If you have enough money, then buy maple logs and do those because it is a lot faster but kind of expensive and hard to find. I don’t suggest doing anything higher than maples because the money lost would be too much.

WOODCUTTING

Well this is another great skill to have 99 in; mostly, it shows you are committed. This one is just like every other, one start off with normal logs (save them for fire making), then as you get along do better trees for more XP. At level 30, do willows all the way to level 60; if at level 60 you want some money, go cut some yews and sell them, but if straight up just want some XP, stick with the willows as they are a lot faster per inventory. This means faster XP. I recommend you cut willows at Draynor village because the willow trees are really close to the bank; the drag about it is that a lot of people stand here doing the same and some even auto woodcutters, but still this is a great way to get 99 and you will still make some money (not much but more than you started with). Just bank all your willows because they can either help you on your way to 99 fire making or 99 fletching; you never know…

FARMING

Okay, this one is very boring in my opinion and takes a bit of money. The best way to power this skill is by chain farming. This is were you plant seeds all over the place and come back later to take the stuff out and put new in. I will go into some depth for this skill.

Start off by buying yourself a well respected amount of law runes, yes, law runes. You will not need them for farming exactly but to teleport to every place that has a farming patch. Here are the places where they are located:

Full farming patches –
North east of east Ardougne
South east of Falador
North of Catherby
North West of Port Phasmatys

Bush patches –
South of east Ardougne
North of the chemist house in Rimmington
South of Ecteria castle
South west of Varrock nest to champs guild

Hops patches –
South west coast of Entrana
North of McGrubor's Wood, north-west of seer’s village
Across the river, along the route from Lumby to Varrock
North of Yanille

Trees patches –
Falador Park
South east of Taverley
West of the agility training arena in the tree gnome stronghold
North west behind Lumby castle
South east of Varrock in the palace grounds

Fruit tree patches –
North coast of Brim Haven
South east of Catherby
South east of the grand tree in the tree gnome stronghold
North west of the tree gnome village

Spirit tree patches –
South of Eceteria castle
North east of Brim Haven
North east of Port Sarim

Belladonna patch –
West of Draynor manor
North east of Alkharaid

Calquat patch –
North of Tai Bwo Wannai village in Karamja
South west of Canifis

Those are the places where the farming magic happens…and they are the reason you need so many law runes, that is, to teleport from place to place, because if you stay at the same patch it would take forever! The best thing to do at the beginning is to gather as many seeds as possible even if they are too high for you to use because you will be using them later on.

Gather potato seeds and onion seeds at first since you will only be at level 1. Have all the tools needed and some seeds with you, then teleport to Cammy and run north of Catherby. Clean the patches – all of them – then plant all of the potato seeds and put all the weeds you get into the compost bin. This will get you some extra XP later on. Then, teleport to Ardougne and go north east and do the same here then move on to south of Falador and do it again.

After a while of this you will get higher levels; just keep doing the same with the best seeds you can plant until you reach level 15 farming. With this level, you can now plant trees; also, gather acorns and go from patch to patch planting them then later on come back and check the health. Cut them down and plant a new one in all the spots.

When you get higher and higher, farming will become long and difficult but just stick with it and you will see that it helps a lot.
